Inspired by Día de los Muertos, I decided to take the Kiely D character exploration to the next level. I wanted to create an expanded K!D Pop Mart–style universe featuring a growing cast of new characters for the Halloween season.
Now Kiely D can engage with a whole new crew of ghoulish friends this Halloween. Bright colors, playful spirits, and a touch of chaos made the perfect mix for K!D’s first spooky outing.

Curated AI Character Design
This project began as a spark for inspiration and a creative break. It quickly became an opportunity to push and test the new AI tools I was exploring.
Much of the AI video hype focuses on realism. I’m drawn instead to ultra-stylized AI worlds and characters that can become ownable parts of a larger brand.
It’s not just random creation — it’s about curated worlds.
The Tools
To bring this spooky universe to life, I combined AI tools with traditional design techniques, shaping characters, sound, and visuals into a cohesive world:
- MidJourney – Used the Niji 6 model with my new Kiely D reference to build a consistent set of characters.
- Photoshop – Still essential for fixing hands, swapping faces, and correcting proportions.
- Kling – Integrated for the opening shot for strong prompt adherence. MidJourney video’s randomness actually added to the spooky fun.
- Suno – Created the music I was looking for: haunted but with a slowed-down hip-hop vibe.
- Adobe Firefly – Added a new layer of sound design, from screams to things that bump in the night.
- Premiere Pro – For professional-quality editing and seamless integration with Adobe tools.

Next Level Play
AI is empowering my creativity — whatever I imagine is just a prompt away. It’s reshaping how I approach design and brand building, and opening new ways to engage audiences across projects.
This Halloween, the K!D crew isn’t just dressing up — they’re stepping into a whole new world of design, storytelling, and play.
